Cars are an expensive item to purchase and are likely to be one of your most valuable possessions. Just because they are valuable when you buy them, though, doesn’t mean they are going to be classed as a good investment. Of course, it depends on what you class as a good investment. A car could be seen as an investment in you and your future, as it will help you to get around and to travel to work. However, if you only measure a worthwhile investment on its value, it is probably not going to be a very good deal for you.

Cars depreciate massively in value within their first year. They are going to go down in value as soon as they leave the garage, making them a difficult purchase to make. They are not going to be worth a lot by the time you want to sell. Don’t think of a car as a good money making scheme, but do think of them as a life investment.
