However, you will be presented with lots of options for servicing and may not know which to choose. One option is the choice of going to an approved garage and servicing centre, where the parts used will be approved by your vehicle’s manufacturer. The mechanics who work there should also be well trained in the methods employed by the car’s brand, so that any repairs will be in keeping with the vehicle and will look like it did before the damage.

If you own the vehicle, you don’t need to use an approved garage and it is entirely up to you whether you do or not. If your care is on a finance deal, you will usually need to have any repairs made using an approved garage to protect your warranty.
